Bill Vardoulis, Chairman
Bill Vardoulis has a 30-year record of extensive public and private service to Orange County including terms as mayor and council member of the City of Irvine, director of the County Sanitation District, member of the Orange County Transportation Commission, president of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce, member of the Building Industry Association board of directors, and numerous other affiliations with both public and private agencies and organizations. Mr. Vardoulis has developed productive working relationships with major local and state agencies and is actively involved as project manager/director of special projects.
Mr. Vardoulis' involvement with transportation issues began in 1975 as a member of the Southeast Orange County Circulation Study team that identified the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor and in 1977, the Northeast Orange County Circulation Study team that introduced the Eastern Transportation Corridor. He was instrumental in the formation of the Joint Powers Authority that developed financing of the three toll roads built by the Orange County Transportation Corridor agencies. He has chaired the Transportation Committee of the Building Industry Association for more than 15 years. Mr. Vardoulis holds an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from USC and an MBA from California State University-Long Beach
Bill Woollett Jr. , President
Bill Woollett Jr. has over 40 years of public service, most notably as a city manager for Rosemead, Temple City, Monterey Park, Irvine and Aliso Viejo. In Orange County, he served as the first City Manager of the City of Irvine from 1971 to 1989, and the first city manager for Aliso Viejo in 2001-2002. In addition, he became the first Chief Executive Officer of the Transportation Corridor Agencies, the agency responsible for planning, designing, building, and operating the Foothill, Eastern and San Joaquin Toll Roads in Orange County. Mr. Woollett is highly respected throughout the region for his ability to take a leadership position on challenging local and regional projects.
